Mobile Workshops & Tours

The City of Ottawa is offering an exciting range of Mobile Workshops on Monday afternoon (May 14), and Tours on Friday afternoon (May 18). The Mobile Workshops are guided tours by passionate professionals, and will augment the theme of the conference. The Friday tours offer a delightful way to end the week by seeing more of the city’s beautiful and inspiring places.

Design Awards Competition

Designing Healthy 10-Minute Neighborhoods

The 2018 IMCL Design Competition jury will consider all submissions that speak to Designing Healthy 10-Minute Neighborhoods. Projects that emphasize Community, Health, Sustainability, and Equity are actively sought, and will be given particular consideration.

Submitted projects do not have to be complete plans for a new urban neighborhood.

Call for Papers

Paper proposals for the 55th IMCL Conference on Healthy, 10-Minute Neighborhoods are invited from elected officials, scholars and practitioners. The following are examples of the types of issues that will be addressed:
